The Art of Skincare - Exploring the World of Aesthetics and Beauty
Beautiful and healthy skin is a common goal. Since ancient times, people have sought out ways to improve their skin and take good care of it. Today's beauty industry is flourishing, with many products and skincare options that promise flawless skin.
With so many choices available, it can be difficult for someone to choose the best treatment or product. What should you choose? A traditional spa or a medical spa? Are microdermabrasion and chemical peels better? What is the difference of a dermatologist versus an esthetician in skincare? We'll be exploring the world of skin care, including the many types of clinics, treatments and products.
The Different Types Of Clinics And Spas
There are many types of spas and clinics that offer skincare services. Traditional spas usually offer a wide range of services such as massages and facials. On the other hand, medical spas offer advanced treatments that require medical supervision such as Botox injections and laser hair removal.
Alternative medicine clinics can also specialize in naturopathic medicine or detox therapies. These clinics focus on beauty and health, with a holistic approach to skin care.
Exploring Skincare Treatments
All skincare treatments are available in a variety of sizes and types, from facials and massaging to chemical peels or laser treatments. Facials can be a popular option for a deep cleanse and removal of dead skin cells. Massages can also be used to reduce stress and promote relaxation. This can have a positive impact on the skin.
Another popular treatment option is chemical peels. This involves applying a solution on the skin to remove the outer layer of dead skin cells. This is a great treatment for scarring, wrinkles, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The use of laser treatments such as photorejuvenation (IPL) and intense pulsed lighting (IPL), is a great way to reduce the appearance and texture of acne.
Skincare Products: What Role Does It Play?
Professional treatments are not the only option. Skincare products can also be a crucial part of achieving beautiful and healthy skin. There are many types of skincare products, such as cleansers and toners, moisturizers and serums. You need to look for products that are designed specifically for your skin type and address any concerns you may have about your skincare.
It is important to choose skincare products that have scientific backing and are proven to work. The appearance of wrinkles can be reduced by using products that contain retinoids. They also improve skin texture. Products that contain antioxidants such as vitamin C may also help reduce oxidative damages and encourage collagen production.
Nutrition and Diet are Important
Although skincare products and treatments can improve the appearance of your skin's appearance, they are just one part of the overall equation. A healthy and beautiful skin starts with a healthy diet. You can provide your skin with all the nutrients it requires by eating a healthy diet that includes fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
A healthy diet should include plenty of water, as well as limiting your intake of sugar and alcohol. These substances can cause skin inflammation and oxidative damages.
Medical Spas Benefits
Medical spas combine both spa and medical services to make them appealing for anyone looking.

BOTOX (r), and DYSPORT (r). BOTOX (r) and Dysport (r) are FDA-approved neuromodulators. They are extremely effective in temporarily improving moderate to severe frown lines and crow’s feet around eyes. Skilled professionals can also use these products for other areas, including the nose, mouth and turned down corners.
Sarah Skillett (RN, BSN) is the Midwest's only practitioner to offer InstaTox(tm), which instantly tightens, smooths and lifts. Botox(r), Dysport(r), and other substances are used to tighten and lift the eyelids and neck.
Because hyaluronic (HA), is a natural substance found in the skin, we use it as a filler. HA adds nutrients, moisture and volume to the skin. HA can be used in the face as a filler, since it is 1000 times more water-soluble than its weight. These clear gel formulations of HA act just like your body's naturally-produced HA. This allows you to instantly increase volume and reduce wrinkles.
Galderma's RESTYLANE(r), family of fillers, uses different sizes of gel particles depending upon the product being used.
Restylane Lyft(r), which uses a large gel particle, adds volume, lifts and contours to the cheeks.
Restylane (r)- A medium-sized gel that smooths out the parentheses and adds volume to the lips.
Restylane silk(r)- This gel uses small particles of gel to reduce the lines around your mouth and lips from smokers.
Allergan's JUVEDERM family of fillers also includes different-sized gel particles in their products.
Juvederm voluma(r), a large-particle used to lift the cheeks and add volume.
Juvederm® Ultra Plus(r), a medium-sized gel for lips and nasolabial areas around the mouth.
Juvederm Ultra (r) - This is the smaller size of Juvederm Ultra that treats finer lines and wrinkles.
Pronounced ARC DERMA, the ArqueDerma (r) Artistic Restorative Lift(r), is a patented, cutting-edge technique created by Leslie Fletcher RN, MEP - C to deliver FDA approved dermalfillers such as Restylane Lyft and Voluma(r).
